KUALA LUMPUR:THE swearing-in ceremony of the Malaysia-China Cultural and Arts Association (PKKMC) at KLPac in Sentul was witnessed by 500 people recently.
PKKMC was formed to create a society where arts and technology develop together.

GENTING HIGHLANDS: The Tourism Ministry is prepared to present an itemised bill for the RM1.8mil budget for its social media advertising campaign if MCA requests it.

Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen said: “He (party president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek) did not mention about the itemised bill to me yet. But if he does request it, I have no problem (presenting it).”

KUALA LUMPUR: Visiting Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao today spent about half an hour meeting with representatives of the Chinese community from China living in Malaysia, as well as those from the Malaysian Chinese community.
Held at a hotel here, the gathering was attended by more than 400 people.

The group included Chinese embassy staff and their family members, investors, businessmen and students.

PUTRAJAYA: Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, who is on a two-day visit to Malaysia, and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak witnessed the signing of eight agreements between the two countries on Thursday.

The agreements include a mutual recognition of higher education qualifications, a memorandum of understanding on resolving traffic congestion on Penang island between the state government and Beijing Urban Construction Group Co. Ltd and a joint venture between Smelter Asia Sdn Bhd and Alumini
